Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is ON, the center airbag sensor transmits front seat inner belt state signals to the meter ECU through CAN. If the driver seat belt is not fastened, the meter ECU blinks the driver side seat belt warning light. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs.

(1) for CAN Communication System SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR (2008 Sequoia) .

(2) for Airbag System NETWORKING: CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 Sequoia) .

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT)

(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select Active Test SEAT BELT: SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM: DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST (2008 Sequoia) .
